Tianna

Tianna’s connection with One On One started because she had previously reached out to Red Clay Dance Studio about summer internship opportunities. She was drawn to them for their work through Artivism and their honoring of dance in the African Diaspora. Through One On One, Tianna was able to secure a paid internship with Red Clay Dance for the summer.

During her time at Red Clay Dance, Tianna used her organizational and management skills to contribute to various aspects of the studio’s events throughout the summer. This experience nurtured her creative spirit and allowed her to make a tangible impact within the realm of Artivism.

As Tianna continues her studies in dance and sports management at Northern Illinois University, her aspirations center around contributing to the dance field by joining a dance agency. Her summer internship experience has equipped Tianna with more self-assurance as she continues on her career pathway. Our program not only provided her with consistent coaching throughout the internship, but has also helped her feel more prepared as she searches for more opportunities in the future.
